Behavioral health

Our staff is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive and healing environment where you can grow in self-awareness and make healthy life choices. Our therapeutic approaches vary depending on your needs. Our services include outpatient psychiatric services, individual counseling for mental health needs, group counseling, family counseling, mental health assessments, drug/alcohol evaluations, and outpatient and intensive outpatient substance abuse services as needed. 

We believe that all individuals are worthy and capable of living and enjoying a productive and rewarding life. We believe that each individual has his or her own strengths, needs and desires, and we value these unique attributes. We encourage and promote an atmosphere of open, honest communication and sharing. We believe that our foundation for this process is (and must always be) based upon respect, truth and empathy.

Our mental health and substance abuse services are CARF-accredited. Our substance abuse services are also licensed by the state of Wyoming.

Services offered

Psychiatry Services

West Park Behavioral Health offers comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management. Psychotropic medications are prescribed when appropriate. The use of medications in conjunction with therapy can be helpful in improving treatment outcomes for individuals struggling with mental illness and addiction. Mental Health Counseling for Children and Adolescents

West Park Behavioral Health offers mental health services for children and adolescents under the age of 18. Therapy is provided for a wide range of issues. Some of the most commonly treated issues include depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, family conflicts, pain management, stress and recovery from abuse of all kinds. Substance Abuse Services

West Park Behavioral Health offers a wide variety of services for substance abuse.  Based on your substance abuse evaluation an individualized treatment plan is tailored to meet your specific needs and give you the best possible opportunity for recovery.

Substance abuse walk-in evaluation clinic

This service is a structured interview process to determine if there is a substance abuse problem and what treatment you may need. Several written assessment tools are gathered as well as a detailed interview with a clinician. A written summary of the results and recommendations are provided to you and/or a referring agent.

  • No appointment necessary
  • Walk in every Thursday, 8 to 11 a.m.

Medication-assisted treatment—Suboxone

Medication-assisted treatment is the use of medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a whole-patient approach to the treatment of substance use disorders. West Park Behavioral Health has a clinical team that works with individuals who may need medication-assisted treatment.

Co-occurring disorders (dual diagnosis) group

Co-occurring psychiatric disorders are common among those with alcohol and drug abuse and dependency issues. By treating addiction and co-occurring disorders simultaneously, treatment outcomes are enhanced.

Gender-specific groups

West Park Behavioral Health offers both men's and women's groups. These gender-specific groups are designed to meet the unique needs of men and women.

DUI education

This service is provided to adults who have experienced an alcohol- or drug-related legal offense. This eight-hour course is designed to educate participants on consequences of drinking and driving, physical/medical aspects, and social and family dynamics of drinking. Videos, and individual and group discussion are used to enhance learning.
