What to bring
Patients should bring the following items:
Medications. Patients should come with a 30-day supply of any medications they are currently taking. Any medications that the facility provides will be billed to the patient's contracted medical service provider or to the patient. Arrangements can be made with the facility to have a patient's medications sent in from outside the facility in order to minimize the cost to the payer or patient.
Personal toiletries. Please note: Personal toiletries with any form of alcohol will be locked up and only given out at certain times. Please check the list of ingredients on the back of the bottle. Also, no aerosols are allowed (hair spray, spray deodorant and so forth). Patients should provide any needed items such as shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, hairbrush or comb, shaving items, and feminine hygiene products.
Money for laundry. Patients are responsible for washing their own clothes at the CMC laundry facilities. Detergent is provided. Change from bills to quarters is available. CMC provides bed linens and bath towels, which are laundered by CMC.
Spending money. Patients should bring everything they will need for the duration of their stay. Just in case, patients should bring a minimum of $40 for laundry and essentials that need to be replaced, stamps, etc.
Patients may make personal long-distance calls on Saturday or at other times as permitted by the counselors.
Psychiatry records. Bring any testing previously completed, including a bio/psych/social history, previous chemical dependency evaluations and treatment histories from any other facilities the patient may have attended. Include any information on treatment by a psychiatrist, psychologist or counselor for individual, group or marital counseling.
Please do not bring any tobacco or tobacco products! CMC is a tobacco-free facility.
