Rodney Palmer, PA-C

About Rodney

Rodney's educational pursuit began in his hometown of Byron, Wyoming, where he attended Rocky Mountain High School. In 2007, he graduated and continued his studies at Northwest College before transferring to the University of Wyoming. At the University of Wyoming, Rodney earned a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion, laying the foundation for his future in healthcare.

Driven to further his knowledge and skills, Rodney transferred to the University of North Dakota. There, he successfully earned a Bachelor's degree in General Studies and a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. In 2017, Rodney commenced his professional career as an occupational therapist, serving patients at two hospital locations in Lovell and Powell, Wyoming. During his four years as an occupational therapist, Rodney's dedication to patient well-being grew, propelling him to seek further education and training.

In the summer of 2023, Rodney accomplished an outstanding feat by completing the Physician Assistant Program at the University of North Dakota with honors. Fueled by his desire to make a greater impact on his patients' lives, he eagerly accepted a position with our Orthopedic team at Cody Regional Health. Rodney is excited to leverage his occupational therapy experience and his physician assistant education to provide the highest level of care to his patients. His ultimate goal is to assist patients in reclaiming their lives to the fullest extent possible.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Rodney finds immense joy in his personal life. He is happily married to Ashley Palmer and is the proud father of two daughters, Kenna (6) and Kynlee (4). Rodney's passion lies within the field of orthopedics, with a particular affinity for the intricacies of the shoulder joint. Understanding the challenges it can pose for patients, he is dedicated to helping them overcome these difficulties and regain their quality of life.
